The Born This Way Ball. Greatest night of my life

July 9, 2012

The Born this Way Ball in Perth, Australia was damn amazing. It was also Gaga’s last Australian tour. No words could describe it. Absolutely amazing. The Born This Way Ball. The greatest night of my life. I wouldn’t say much about the concert other than that it is a feast for the eyes and ears. The crowd is wild being old or young and every note she sang didn’t disappoint. The dances and transition of songs were beautifully choreograph and it did not feel like “oh, the song ends, I wonder whats next”, but it felt like the entire concert was one long song. All the pictures thanks to my friend, Fabrice Requin, without him you will all be seeing pixelated pictures from my phone. haha.

Ahhh! Its the meat dress!

The concert started out with a performance from Lady Starlight, which we found to be rather weird and over the top (in a bad way). Its probably cause of the cold and the fact that we just wanted to see Gaga, but the performance was terrible. Not our taste. During the concert, Gaga performed the entire song to ‘Princess Die’ which was heartwarming and she proved to everyone that she has a goddamn voice, walked around the stage trying out fan-made outfits, brought little girls onstage at the finale and gave them an eye opening speech about living life and chasing your dreams and lastly, the flying robot Gaga head which sang us paparazzi and gave us a lecture, which in the end, Gaga killed off. I would and could write an entire essay on the performance, but I won’t. You have to be there for yourself or at least wait till the tour DVD comes out. :)

After so long waiting for her new music videos to pop out on youtube, following her every tweet, supporting her cause for the Japan tsunami (bought a bracelet *yeay* best I could do) and dancing/singing to her music in the shower, I got to finally hear her voice in real life and not through my earphones. It may not be much of a reason, but listening to her helped me escape from the real world into hers where everything is over the top and where someone believed in me for who I am. When I feel happy, sad and angry, I would just turn the volume up and listen to her music. Lady Gaga, thank you.

Lady Gaga, it may sound like its nothing but tonight was just mind blasting and cheered the shit out of me. I can’t describe it. I hope you have fun “getting trashed and partying it up” tonight and thank you for coming to Perth. *paws up

p.s. Make sure you buy a freaking glow stick! Just imagine its Gaga’s disco stick. hehe

Sometimes I wish I could have the strength and confidence to wear something more flashing and dress up more for the concert. Then I remember we bought crap seating cause we were broke at the time we bought the tickets. Anyways, sitting from far didn’t stop us from standing and dancing our ass off and going mental around people that chose to sit down.
