La Tour de Tokyo 東京タワー
To get a good view of Tokyo, one the places I would recommend for you to visit is none other than Eiffel Tower’s Japanese twin, the Tokyo Tower. Whether is day or night, the tower is visible due to its massive structure and its famous bright orange and white colour.
There’s no denying it that I become a completely different person when I go anywhere high to the extent that I get scared even by looking down a two storey building. I’m a scaredy cat, yet going on planes doesn’t bother me at all, but that’s a different story.
The Tokyo tower is damn high, the elevators are glass and it shakes when you go up. There is also a little glass on the floor in the main observation deck that offers you to look directly down under the tower. I apologize if I am scaring you, but this is what I remember most from it.
Through the pains of being scared of heights, the views are phenomenal and damn worth the money/mental strength/guts. Its a must visit.
*There is also a little treat/reward after going down the tower where you can buy crepes. Its actually, very good. (its not free though D: )*
Below: A different elevator is used to go up from the main observatory to the ‘special’ observatory at the very top. My heart was throbbing harder than it already was waiting for the elevator to come.
View of the Zojo-Ji from the Tower. Click to see post on Zojo-Ji.
Above: The main observation deck, it is located at the middle of the tower, between the ground and the top observatory.
Below: My little reward for making it through to the very top and not fainting. :D Very yummy!

Love your pictures.
Absolutely brilliant compositions, and the colours… striking.

I wish wish wish i could go back to Japan with a better camera and perspectives.
Traveling now seems like a waste without bring home perfect pictures.
But of course it’s clear you’ve traveled perfectly, judging from your photographs. :)
Thanks! It was almost sunset so I was trying to take as many pictures as I can.
Yes, I was lucky enough to have bought a camera the day before in Akihabara. They sell very nice and cheap second hand ones. The only bad thing about it was that my money to do other things are gone, but it was worthed and my friend helped me alot financially.
and I wouldn’t call it perfectly but it was an awesome trip. Glad you liked the pictures!!
without bringing*
Whoa, i read through my comment several times to make sure i dont embarrass myself with some bad typo, and the verdict: Failed. =_=
Hey, just curious, on an average, how many pictures do you take per day when you travel?
And are you back in Bali? ‘Cause, see there’s this Chingay Festival here in Singapore this weekend and i figured youd like the vibrancy and energy of such festivals. Just wondering if youd catch the action.
haha! don’t worry, bad spelling and bad english are bound to happen in the internet!
I take an average of 100 pictures, depending on the location and the event. For example, when I went to Japan, there was alot of things I had never seen before and there was so many interesting things, so I took a CRAP load of pictures!!!
and yes, I am currently in Bali and is there?? I would really love to be in Singapore right now! Last time I went there, I wanted to just not leave the place! Hope you take alot of pictures, will be waiting for a blog post from you possible about it! :)
Aw, i wish i could take CRAP loads of pictures for the festival…. But see, i’m performing in it. =_=
That’s why i wondered if you’d be interested to go if you’re aware of it!
Then i can make reference to your blog for guaranteed beautiful pictures. HAHAHAHAH
And… i’m entitled to one free ticket for the festival. Frankly, i thought, if you’re in Singapore, i’d offer you the ticket since… i don’t want any of my close friends or family members to watch me or even CATCH ME DEAD IN MY COSTUME. =_= And you seem to be one who can truly appreciate such an event!
Pity though, you’re in Bali. Boo.
(But of course Bali’s wonderful too, loved it when i was there. :))
You are performing?! How awesome is that! Get somebody to take a picture of you! If only I didn’t go to Japan I could have went and saw you perform! haha and thank you, you speak too highly of me :) *blush*
Hope you had a blasting time at your performance in Singapore! :)
