Lounging in the wardrobe trying to find the right Batik for a Balinese Wedding
One of the things I find to be quite challenging is understanding which batik to use and where. Never would I have thought that different batik would mean different things. One for example can only be used during funerals and one for praying and others for ceremonies. Its like a dress code one must abide by in the Christian faith, as you are presumably supposed to wear black attire for funerals and white for weddings.
Getting ready for my cousin’s wedding was harsh. Picking the right ones is hard enough. Then wearing them is an entirely different level. Anyways, to shorten the story. I gave up and made my dad do it. How can I learb about my own culture when I cant even dress like one!!
