Perth’s Good Food and Wine Show 2012
The show was basically a collaboration of different wines from different parts of Australia and an exhibition that promoted local food and local businesses. It was a shame that there were no authentic Australian food in sight. The show didn’t cater any local authentic Australian food. All there were was a selection of different German sausages, Italian food and bread dipped in delicious olive dressing. I know that I personally am no judge of food and have no right to give any food critic, but there wasn’t anything too special there. I was expecting some homemade kangaroo meat or sausage or something, but the entire place was a large set up of promoting the public in eating better and more quality food. Which is good, but kinda hoped for more. But, besides that, it was one hell of a show! Free quality food and free quality booze! :D
Ahhhh! Its Masterchef’s George Calombaris. *Chefstruck
It was a Saturday Afternoon that my friend had invited me to the Good Food and Wine Show at Perth’s Exhibition
Center. It may be called a ‘Good Food and Wine Show’, but to me it was ‘Free wine, free booze, free tasting and a hall full of free tapas’. Well, excluding the entrance ticket… Which we didn’t pay for because we had friends that was working inside. :)
The show provided masterclasses, cooking shows, wine tasting, food tasting, how to properly drink wine tutorials, lectures on good wine and a showcase of new kitchen appliances. It a must go if the show is back in town. Make sure u had something to eat before you go though. I had too much to drink with an empty stomach and was tipsy within 1/5hours. Damn you body for your weak resistance to alcohol!
Wine Tasting Masterclass.
