My First Anime Figure

I finally had the courage to open my most prized souvenir from Japan. My Azusa Nakano Figure from the anime, K-ON! by Max Factory. I have forgotten to mention in any of my posts. I love anime. I love everything that has to do with it unless it has English subtitles.

It was in Akihabara that I was accompanying my friend who is also an anime enthusiast in buying his list of anime figures. We would walk into Softbank, all the small shops on the side of the road, alleyways and even had crepes. Going to that place was ultimately like going to heaven. I did not want to go home. I ended up going there 3 times in the space of my 7day trip in Tokyo. After many hours and ravaging through shops, we winded up to a particular one that smelled of curry. Funny enough, the shop was situated next to a restaurant and the shop ended up smelling like whatever they were cooking. It was there that I saw my figure. It took careful thinking, sacrificing of food budget and a day of self reflection to make myself buy it and I truly did not regret it. Every time I looked at it, it reminded me of Japan and most importantly, the amount of time I spent in Akihabara and the smell of the curry in the shop.
