Skinnygirl appearance in Perth
One thing I didn’t expect to see at the Good Food & Wine Show Perth, was Bethenny Frankel’s cocktail line, Skinnygirl. To those who are not exposed to the constant beam of advertisements on Foxtel, Bethenny Frankel is an American TV personality who starred in TV shows such as ‘The Apprentice’ and ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’, which later gave birth to her own spin-off show due to her popularity in ‘Bethenny Getting Married?’ and ‘Happily Ever After’ (and incase you were wondering, yes Wikipedia helped me write these well researched facts). So in other words, she is this hell famous American TV personality that makes hell of alot of money from selling cocktails that won’t make you as fat as drinking one from a bar.
Brand image is everything and what better way than giving free nail makeovers at the booth.
At the show, there were two cocktails that was endlessly served to guests.You could drink as many and they won’t stop you. *smiles
The first drink was a Margarita, which I quote from their website is ‘made with Blue Agave Silver Tequila and lightly sweetened with Agave Nectar, Skinnygirl Margarita is light and refreshing with hints of citrus. The second drink was a Cosmopolitan ‘Skinnygirl White Cranberry Cosmo is made with genuine vodka and lightly sweetened with Agave Nectar. With only 78 calories per 100ml serve, this ready to serve cocktail is a definite crowd pleaser at girl’s night in or the perfect start to a girl’s night out.’
So here it is Women (and some men….) Australia, you are now able to get pissed drunk from martini glasses, sipping on Skinnygirl cocktails, looking all glamourous and not having to regret a drop the next day… Well that is unless you get drunk and get knocked up and pregnant the next day…. But that’s a different story. :)
